Near Round Tahitian Pearl Chain with Gold filled wire and clasps

How are Tahitian Pearls valued?

Of all the pearls on the Market, the Tahitian Pearl is by far the most valuable.  Exclusively cultured in the tropical islands of French Polynesia, these  pearls are valued based on several factors, including luster, color, shape, and size. The most valuable pearl will have an AAA grade, which is characterized by its exceptional luster, round shape, no blemishes, and large size. A single loose pearl of this caliber would be worth $350-$750 per pearl.

Our Tahitian pearls are of AB grade, beautiful luster and diverse range of sizes and shapes. Each chain range boasts a captivating array of colors, spanning from silver to mesmerizing eggplant and peacock hues.

AB grade means you will find very small blemishes on some pearls. Each piece of jewelry on our site is unique so feel free to zoom in on the pictures.

We offer three pearl sizes: 8-9mm (smallest), 10-11mm, and 12-13mm (largest). Additionally, our pearls come in three distinct shapes: Circle or Baroque, Short Button, and Near Round.

Circle (CL) or Baroque pearls: exhibit imperfections characterized by multiple circular ridges and teardrop/oval shapes.

Short Button (SB) pearls may also have some circular ridges but in general they are smoother and are more oval in shape.

Near Round (NR) pearls are our highest quality, almost round in shape. As shown in the picture, these are Near Round 10-11mm pearl chain in gold fillet. These Pearls are feature with our Niihau Shell accent.
